• Contractors sign a timesheet for to confirm how many days/hours they have worked.
• Contractors are responsible for completing and sending timesheets and expenses to SMCC as the umbrella company
• SMCC invoice the agency or hiring company for the hours plus any reimbursable expenses
• SMCC as the umbrella company is then paid by the agency or hiring company, according to their payment schedule.
• SMCC as the umbrella company receives the payment and then deducts tax and National Insurance before paying the contractor through the PAYE system. Contractors receive a payslip detailing deductions and agreed fee.
• Contractors receive payment from SMCC as the umbrella company, with all relevant deductions.
